Shell & Tube Water Cooled Condenser

Features

  • Shell standard HSL-ERW Pipes or rolled from tested quality steel plates.
  • Tubes Integrally finned copper tubes with 19 fins per inch. Effective surface area is more than 2.1/2 times that of plain tubes of the same diameter. Tubes are expanded into tubes sheets for leak proof joints.
  • Tube Sheets Carbon steel SA-285 Grade C or equivalent. Adequate thickness allows proper tube expansion.
  • Heads Cast Iron water heads designed for easy removal for mechanical tube clenaing and / or tube replacement, Designed for different pass arrangements enabling judicial selection of optimum water velocities for efficient heat transfer.
  • Design Pressures 21 kg/cm2 (300 psi) on shell side and 7 kg/cm2 (100 psi) on tube side.
  • Test Pressures 28 kg/cm2 (400 psi) Pneumatic on shell side and 10.6 kg/cm2 (150 psi) Hydraulic on tube side.
  • Finish All condensers have a rust preventive primer finish of red oxide paint.
  • Special Condensers Special materials of construction and / or special testing producers can be used. Condensers for sea water marine applications or with steel tubes can also be made for specific requirements.
